| Week 2 | Mon,9/3 | Tue,9/4 | Graph Matching (Per 7 Only) | This week we start our first unit -- Proportional Reasoning.
We're working with percents, ratios, and proportions. It really forms the
basic foundation for the entire year which will later be expanded on in the
form of equations of lines, probability, scaling geometric figures and so on.
SUGGESTION: If your student is having trouble this week, encourage him/her to draw a picture of the problem. . . E.G. if the ratio of boys to girls is 4:5, draw 4 boys and 5 girls. Then use that to try to draw a picture of the Answer |
