Volunteering Opportunities

Since it is impossible to be Super Teacher... I love involvement from others!

Parents working with students in class bring a richness to the curriculum we couldn't have otherwise...plus the parents generally love it!

Other Family Members are also welcome. Grandparents, aunts and uncles and older siblings have unique skills to share with these young learners. Please let me know if there is someone in your family who wants to be a part of our class.

Community Members participate in a variety of ways. Please contact me!

Some examples of ways to volunteer (the list is endless!):

For the whole school: Join the PTA, serve on Site Council, work in the garden, teach a class or play with kids at lunch.

For the class: Lead a small group activitity (create your own or I will have it all ready for you!), help individual kids learn math or other skills, be a Room Parent, be our "Book Order" parent, help with our quilting unit, help the teacher in class or with "Take-Home" work, drive on field trips, etc. I will post a sign-up list at Back-To-School Night, or contact me at any time during the year.
