About Mrs. Lowe

I was born in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, then spent most of my childhood in Long Beach, Indiana, swimming in the summer and sledding in the winter. My family moved to the Bay Area when I was in 8th grade and after adjusting to California, I graduated from Burlingame High School. I have always enjoyed traveling, and after graduating from UC Berkeley in English, I worked in New Zealand and Australia and traveled though Asia.

I have been married to my husband Brian, who I met in England, since 1974. We have lived in Palo Alto since 1989 and have three children: Nick, Alexa and Liz, who all graduated from Gunn High School and went on to UCLA.

I have been teaching in Palo Alto since 1995, having received my CLAD Credential from San Jose State. I love teaching at Barron Park with our diversity, beautiful setting, and great second grade team of teachers!
