1) Palo Alto Library Booklists for Kids- This site contains links for everything from book reviews by library staff to beginning chapter books, historical fiction and mysteries. There's a lot more as well.
2) Monroe County Library Booklists- This is one of my favorite sites for booklists. Be sure to click on the "Too-Good-Too-Miss: Suggested Reading by Grade Level" link.
3) The Children's Literature Web Guide - This is a wonderful website from the University of Calgary featuring booklists, author facts, and links to additional resources.
4) World of Reading - A site created by the Ann Arbor District Library which allows children to read book reviews written by children, to write their own book reviews and to link to other reading and writing sites. Type in the name of the book and read the reviews.
5) California Young Reader Medal - This list includes the latest winners as well as past winners and nominees. It also has the currently nominated books that will be voted upon by children throughout California in April.

6) Caldecott Medal Winners - This list includes all of the Caldecott Medal winning books from 1938 to the present. Some of the books have links that will give the viewer a closer look at the title.
7) Newbery Medal Winners - This list includes of the Newberry Medal winning books from 1922 to the present. Some of the books have links that will give the viewer a closer look at the title.
8) Coretta Scott King Award Books - This list includes current winner and honor books as well as links to past winning titles.
9) Teachers' Top 100 Books for Children - Results from an online survey for teachers by the National Education Association
10) Kids Top 100 Books - Results from an online survey for kids by the National Education Association
11) Reading Rainbow - This site lists the books featured on the Reading Rainbow series. Each title is a link to a summary of the book. There is also an option for hearing a review of the book (if you have the appropriate computer equipment).
12) 100 Picture Books Everyone Should Know - A list compiled by the New York Public Library) Fractured Fairy Tales - Perfect for anyone who enjoys fairy tales
13) Good Books for Girls - A list of highly recommended books for girls, ages 3 to 14
14) Asian American Books- Including fiction, nonfiction, and poetry
15) 50 Multicultural Books Every Child Should Know- A list compiled by the Cooperative Children's book Center, School of Education, University of Wisconsin
16) Book Adventure - A free reading program for children in grades K-8; contains over 6,000 recommended titles
17) Database of Award Winning Children's Literature - This is a great place to search for award winnng books by the setting, genre, publication date, award, or the age of the reader.
18) Cinderella Stories - Perfect for anyone who wants to read other versions of Cinderella.

Children's Literature Comprehensive Database - This site is a commercial site but the information on authors is a good resource. (See "Birthday Greetings" in the right-hand column and click on the link to each author.)
