Homework assignments for the entire week will be given out on Mondays. Each nights' homework will be due the following morning. There will be no homework assigned over weekends, however there maybe make-up, or unfinished work to be completed.
In preparation for the nature of the work expected of students in 4th grade, students will be assigned many long-term projects. Time management will weigh heavy during these projects. We will be practicing how to manage time and materials in order to complete these long term projects. Homework will vary in type and amount during the projects depending upon where each student is and what rate they work at.
In general the homework is designed to take between 30 - 90 minutes each night. Different nights and different students will vary. If your child consistently takes much longer, please talk to me about strategies or possible modifications to make it manageable. If you find your child consistently taking much less time to complete homework, please monitor it for quality, detail and depth.
