Welcome back to school!
We will be reading, writing, and thinking about all kinds of things this year: short stories, folktales, a novel about four middle school students, a diary written by a young Jewish teenager living during World War II, and a memoir about growing up in a Japanese internment camp in California. As we read, one of the questions we will be discussing most is:
What social factors help shape our identity, and how do these factors affect what we say and do?
I am looking forward to a great year with you!
