Library
Collection
The
Terman library collection opened in September 2001 with 1800 books to support
the 6th grade curriculum. Additional titles have been added
to support the 7th & 8th grade curriculums. There are now over 13,000
books and the collection continues to grow!
Other
print sources include subscriptions to 19 magazines, The Mercury News,
The Palo Alto Weekly, and The Palo Alto Daily.
The
library also has full Internet access and access to four subscription

Library
Program
The
library program emphasizes information literacy skills and literacy skills.
All 6th grade students receive an in-depth three part orientation in September.
Throughout the school year teachers schedule their classes to use the library
to do research, check-out books and and complete classroom assignments
that require library and information resources. Information literacy
skill instruction is integrated with classroom assignments and taught collaboratively
by the Librarian and classroom teachers.
